BPHES’ CSRD ISWR Learning Resource Centre (LRC)
Library is automated using Integrated Library Management System (ILMS)
The library functions at the ground floor of the building (266.80 Sq m carpet area). The space is used exclusively for library and related services. The library is situated at the heart of the academic block, easily accessible yet quiet, bright and airy place for study. The librarian’s room and the reading room for students along with book search facilities (catalogue, e-search and card system) and the issue counter are arranged in a user friendly system. Computer lab and internet centre is also functions in the space. Stack room consist of the separate sections for the Career Guidance cell where books for competitive examinations are available. The internationally accepted Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme (23rd edition) is followed for classification of books. The library has restricted open access system. Books are issued to students on all working days and the reference facility is open throughout the working hours of the library. To help the users and to ensure the security of materials the CCTV cameras are installed and controlled gate system is followed.
Details of Automation:
CSRD-ISWR library is fully automated and the services are computerized. It uses software SLIM-21 is upgraded to a barcode version. Automation is introduced in 2014 to facilitate fast and quality services to the stakeholders. The SLIM21 – system for Library Information Management Software version 3.6 is provided by Algorhythmhs Consultants Pvt. Ltd. Pune. The services computerised in the library are:
- The OPAC (public interface for users)
- Cataloging (classifying and indexing materials)
- Circulation/ Counter transaction /Issue and return module (lending books and receiving them back)
- Serial control module that allows tracking journals
- Inflibnet Online journal (N- List)

- Current awareness services (CAS) and selective dissemination of information (SDI).
