Who we are

We at _VOIS Planet with Vodafone Idea Foundation & VOIS, have initiated an integrated knowledge platform. The initiative is aimed at sharing knowledge and information on climate change and environmentally responsive behaviour. Effective instruments for mitigating environmental burdens such as afforestation, net-zero target, campaigns and awareness programmes are required to bring a change at the individual, family and community level as well which could make significant contributions to alleviating the environmental degradation challenges at the local level. This initiative is aimed at aggregating and helping co-create knowledge and information on environmentally responsive behaviours and concurrently pursuing result-oriented social media campaigns to encourage people and specifically the youth, to take proactive actions in promoting sustainable lifestyle and creating a positive impact on the environmental ecosystem in their surroundings.

Webinars

Building Sustainable Habits for Young Environmentalists: This webinar, held on January 11, 2024, themed "Renewable Horizons: Empowering Change for a Sustainable Future," attracted over 235 students across 10 schools focusing on the latest in solar energy.

Beat the plastic: Over 220 students from 10 schools across various cities participated in a webinar on January 16, 2024, to learn about the environmental impact of plastic usage.

Water Conservation: Conducted a webinar on January 16, 2024, themed “water conservation," sensitized about 130 students across 13 CLCs focusing on the strategies to conserve water with individual actions

Best out of waste: Over 257 students from 8 schools across various cities participated in a webinar on January 19, 2024, to learn the techniques to reduce, reuse and recycle the waste.

Measuring Your Carbon Footprint: A webinar on the theme ‘Measuring Your Carbon Footprint' was organized on 24th Jan 2024, awareness created among 246 students from 8 schools across various cities on the concept of carbon footprint & the strategies for reducing carbon emissions.

Biodiversity Conservation Strategies: Held on January 25, 2023, in a hybrid format across several cities, this session focused on Biodiversity conservation strategies' and targeted school children aged 9-16. 124 students from 8 schools were sensitized on actionable strategies to contribute to the preservation of diverse ecosystems
